Host Tournament Series 2009/2010

Level of Play:  AAA MAJOR

Age Level:    U16

Similar to the past several seasons, the Jr. Coyotes U16 team will be hosting several "friendship" tournament weekends where teams travel to Scottsdale, AZ for a weekend of competitive hockey games against quality clubs from all over the country. We are inviting U16AA/AAA/Major teams to participate in one of four scheduled events. Last year we were fortunate enough to have AA and AAA teams from CA, CO, TX, WA, MI, and Ontario, Canada participate in our tournaments.

 Tournament weekends include:

*Labor Day Invitational*~ 6 team tournament at the Ice Den in Scottsdale, AZ.  Last years event consisted of two AZ teams, two CA teams, and two CO teams.  **TOURNAMENT IS FULL**

Tournament rules and information are below. 

 

 *Jr. Coyotes MLK Holiday Festival* ~ Tournament is scheduled to begin Saturday, January 16th and end on Monday afternoon, January 18th.  Each game will consist of three 15 minute stop time periods.  No tournament hotel requirements and no gate fees.  Tournament entry fee is $750.00 (US Dollars).  MORE INFORMATION TO COME.

The Jr. Coyotes will also partner with the DYHA Firebirds U16AAA team to Co-Host two additional tournaments:

 

*DYHA Columbus Day Challenge* - This event will be held at Oceanside Ice Rink in Scottsdale, AZ on October 9th - 11th and will be a 4 team tournament with a four game guarantee. 

This event is FULL and will feature the Phoenix Firebirds U16AAA, Phoenix Coyotes U16, San Diego Gulls U16AAA and the Dallas Stars Elite Hockey Club U16AAA.  Schedule and information to follow.

 

*DYHA December Classic* - Another 4 team event at Oceanside Ice Rink in Scottsdale, Arizona December 11th - 13th.  This tournament has ONE spot remaining.
